You'll provide insight on mixing operations, small-scale safety testing, thermal analyses, physical characterizations, and output characterizations. You will aid in energetic material characterization efforts designed to understand small-scale explosive hazards. You'll facilitate meetings and assist working groups. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing, research, or lab setting for chemistry
  • Experience with manufacturing processes of chemicals, including inspection, maintenance, and storage
  • Knowledge of thermal and mechanical properties of materials
  • Knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste generation and waste disposal policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the theories, procedures, and analytical techniques necessary to produce reliable reviews, results, and conclusions of chemical process assessment
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Science

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP)
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License Certification
