About The Position

Support pilot development and scale-up of materials and process steps used in repair/new manufacturing workflows (e.g., coatings, cleaning, surface prep, and related chemical processes). Partner with cross-functional teams to document processes, establish training, and ensure pilot learnings become production-ready standards. Help define process controls, acceptance criteria, and troubleshooting playbooks for consistent outcomes and robust yield. Contribute to IP-conscious, safety-first operations in a factory-adjacent pilot setting. Materials/chemistry fundamentals: surface science, process chemistry, contamination control. Ability to translate lab/pilot experiments into stable, documented procedures and training. Data-driven problem solving and structured documentation habits. Exposure to automated or semi‑automated chemical processes (e.g., wet cleaning, surface treatment, coating), with understanding of how chemistry scales from manual to automated equipment. Experience with or coursework in Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization, recipe development, or equipment qualification in a pilot or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with automated cleaning or surface preparation systems, including awareness of contamination control, surface damage risks, and repeatability. Knowledge of process automation and data‑driven manufacturing, including basic exposure to sensors, process metrics, or quality validation in automated workflows.
