About The Position
Summary of duties and responsibilities: Perform chemical cleaning of various parts and hot solder dipping of alumina assemblies in accordance with specifications and documented procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities: Chemically clean parts; rinse in water and acetone; air-dry according to S.I., receiver instructions, and other applicable documentation. Mix acids and chemical solutions per standard instructions (S.I.’s). Repackage cleaned parts using lint-free materials. Perform nickel/gold plating operations per established procedures. Hot solder dip assemblies per approved work instructions. Complete special assembly tasks as assigned. Maintain a clean, orderly chemical clean room, including daily floor mopping, periodic solder pot cleaning, and proper waste disposal. Handle wiring tasks involving small to large ceramic and metal components.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills required.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift, walk, stoop, reach, stand, and sit as required.
- Correctable 20/20 vision.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience or formal training in the plating industry preferred.
- Experience working with chemicals is preferred.
