Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of culinary experience
• Must be over the age of 21
• Must be able to keep the kitchen clean, sanitary, and organized at all times
• Must possess the ability to multi-task and coordinate productively with other team members
• Must be punctual
• Must understand the importance of working collaboratively with supervisors, management, and colleagues
• Must exude a respectful and professional demeanor and demonstrate appropriate boundaries with clients

Responsibilities

• Work alongside and report directly to Program Director
• Grocery shop for the week and create weekly menus to be approved by Program Director
• Put together healthy, nutritious, teen-friendly meals for 6 adolescent clients in residential treatment
• Prepare, plate, and serve morning and afternoon snacks, lunch, and dinner Monday – Friday
• Meal prep for the weekends
• Meet with clients upon admission to learn about client allergies, food restrictions, or preferences
• Meet with clients once weekly to review weekly menu
• Ensure kitchen is in compliance with accreditation, licensing, and program standards
• Manage a monthly budget for all food and culinary expenses
