About The Position

Cala’s Restaurant, a staple in Manchester-by-the-Sea known for fresh seafood, casual dining, and a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere, is seeking an experienced Chef to lead our back-of-house team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager in a full service restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of back-of-house operations, food safety, and labor management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Passion for food and hospitality.
  • This position requires to kitchen manager to work on the line.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Manage, train, and schedule kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards.
  • Monitor food inventory, ordering, and cost controls.
  • Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Support menu execution and contribute to specials or seasonal offerings.
  • Foster a positive, energetic, and collaborative team culture
