Requirements

  • Proven experience as a professional chef, with leadership responsibilities preferred
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work at least four days a week on the line

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Passion for creating high-quality, appealing dishes and enhancing resident satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the food service department, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service
  • Work on the line at least four days a week, demonstrating culinary expertise and maintaining consistency
  • Develop and update menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with management to plan special events and community dining programs
