About The Position

Position Summary Gossner Foods is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cheese Maker to join our Swiss Cheese production team. This role is responsible for producing high-quality Swiss cheese by following established recipes, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining strict quality and food safety standards. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and takes pride in producing a consistent, high-quality product in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ablity to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

• 1–2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience in food production or dairy processing (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Produce Swiss cheese in accordance with established formulas, processes, and quality standards
• Operate, clean, and maintain cheese-making equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Accurately measure and manage ingredients while following precise recipes
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality
• Maintain detailed and accurate production records and documentation
• Utilize computer systems and programs for data entry and process tracking
• Identify and troubleshoot production or quality issues in a timely manner
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to a team environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
