Requirements

  • Previous dairy experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Perform basic math with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Stand/ walk almost the entire workday.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment to cook cheese.
  • Ability to maintain constant communication with fluid processing, assist with start-up and shut down processes.
  • Ability to receive batches.
  • Partnering with lab on samples and required testing
  • Able to solve problems with product flow.
  • Complete sanitation tasks such as cleaning and sanitizing all cheese making and cheese care equipment
  • Keep the workstation clean and organized
  • Follow SOP for Cheese Making. Following established protocols for cheese quality and food safety
  • pH adjustment, use of pH meter, moisture analyzer, and other technical equipment
  • Record maintaining cheese inventory database
  • Able to work and thrive in a production environment
  • Maintain equipment, record production details, and manage ingredients
  • Follow company safety guidelines and support team efforts, product quality, and process improvements
  • Train new team members in cheese production
  • Any other job duties requested by foremen/supervision.
