About The Position

Represent the Houston Texans (“Club”) and Houston Texans Cheerleader (“Cheerleader” or Cheerleaders”) program at appearances and on gameday primarily through fan interaction and some aspects of performing upon special request.
Provide personalized and extraordinary service to our premium guests, ensuring that every interaction exceeds their expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Professional dance experience required.
• Alumna of the Houston Texans Cheerleader Program required.
• Ability to dance, exhibiting a profound sense of rhythm and sense of timing and ability to work in tandem with other dancers to create an entire routine with a goal of entertaining an audience.
• Must have the physical ability to properly execute performances.
• Effective verbal communication skills with ability and willingness to assertively interact in a professional, engaging manner.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Ability to exhibit effective interpersonal (verbal and non-verbal) communication skills on a one-on-one or group basis to create and maintain positive working relationships.
• Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
• Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.
• Job requires walking around and standing for prolonged periods of time in various Club premises in and around NRG Stadium and NRG Park, as may be assigned.
• Occasional travel related to job duties and responsibilities.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to talk, stand, walk, sit, drive, bend, squat, climb, twist and reach as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Interact with fans in premium suites and perform dance routines at Club events and on gamedays.
• Participate in appearances, including posing for photos, signing autographs, interacting with fans, etc.
• Wear Cheerleader uniforms as assigned and uphold the fitness and physical standards associated with the job duties.
• Support Cheerleader program efforts as requested or assigned, including, but not limited to, Cheer Tryouts, cheer uniform and equipment distribution, collection and storage, youth program initiatives, appearances and photo shoots.
• Attend rehearsals or learn routines from video in advance of performances, as required.
• Provide choreography for routines and assist with performance preparation including teaching dances, setting formations and providing critiques, as required.
• Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Director or Cheerleader Programs and Cheerleader Program and Game Presentation Coordinator.
• Subject to reasonable accommodations, position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner.
