SummaryThe Operations Supervisor – Check Processing is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Check Posting and Research Department. This role manages a team of approximately 17 direct reports and ensures the accurate and timely posting of checks into internal systems while meeting strict service level agreements (SLAs). The Supervisor serves as a key liaison between staff and leadership, ensuring compliance with company policies, operational efficiency, and high levels of client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience (required)
  • Strong Excel experience, including tracking, reporting, and data review (required)
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of approximately 17 employees within the check posting and research functions
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily workloads to ensure checks are posted accurately and on time
  • Ensure all check processing and posting activities are completed in accordance with established SLAs
  • Track work progress and productivity using Excel and internal reporting tools
  • Investigate posting discrepancies and coordinate with the appropriate internal departments or stakeholders for resolution
  • Act as a point of escalation for operational issues, workflow delays, or quality concerns
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
  • Communicate regularly with upper management regarding team performance, workflow status, and process improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall workflow within the department
