About The Position

Role Summary: As part of the Cigna Healthcare Network Management leadership team, the CHC Network Strategy Lead is responsible for shaping, executing and presenting network strategy, with a focus on new and evolving network-based solutions. The role operates at the intersection of Network Management, Enterprise Network Strategy and Product, with close ties to Clinical, Sales and Analytics teams. This position has two primary focus areas: Network strategy and solution development: Defining and executing network strategies for new solutions in partnership with enterprise leaders and local contracting teams Network product expertise and enablement: Serving as the subject matter expert on CHC network-based products for internal and external audiences Network Strategy & New Solution Execution Partner with Network Management, Strategy and Product leadership to define network strategies for new and enhanced CHC solutions Translate enterprise strategy into clear guidance for local market Network Contracting teams, and partner with them on execution (e.g. preparing provider ‘pitch’ approach and supporting collateral, participating in provider conversations) Track progress across markets Identify barriers to execution and partner with cross-functional teams to adjust strategy, design, or governance as needed Network Product Expertise & Market Enablement Serve as the subject matter expert on CHC network-based products and solutions. Educate and advise: Network Contracting and Market leadership Sales and Account Management teams Brokers, consultants, and select clients Provider executives and leadership teams Develop and refine network product narratives, value propositions, and educational materials, in partnership with key stakeholders Support high-priority broker, client, and provider engagements where network strategy is central to the value story Ensure consistent understanding of: Network design intent Economic and clinical value drivers Differences across network products and tiers Tradeoffs between cost, access, quality, and provider performance Enterprise Leadership & Cross-Functional Integration Act as a strategic connector between Network Management and enterprise teams, including Enterprise Network Strategy, Product, Network Analytics, Clinical Strategy & Value-Based Care Bring market, provider and sales insights back to enterprise partners to inform future strategy and product development Promote alignment, clarity and shared accountability across a complex matrixed organization Leadership Scope: Drive best practices across markets Ensure appropriate structure and support are in place to deliver on goals Build relationships with business leaders across functions and ensure teams are engaged as needed to support business strategy and execution priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • A minimum of 15 years of healthcare experience including in several of the following areas: strategic planning, product and program development, network management, contract operations, medical economics
  • Expert level knowledge of network design, physician partnership / negotiation, medical, Rx, and behavioral benefits.
  • Strong presentation skills, and willingness to travel (20%)
  • Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating the performance of network-based solutions and strategies
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills at senior levels within and organization and external constituents
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate a strategy and direction from various, often conflicting, inputs and prioritize work and capacity of matrix teams to drive maximum earnings contribution to the organization.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills; ability to assess qualitative and quantitative impacts
  • Ability to collaborate and work across a complex matrixed organization
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
