About The Position

The Chat Representative serves as the first point of contact for members seeking assistance through our online chat platform. This role is responsible for delivering a friendly, professional, and efficient experience by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing accurate information in real time. The Chat Representative ensures members feel supported and valued while upholding our service standards and organizational values.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience preferred, especially in chat or call center roles.
  • Strong written communication and ability to multitask.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and chat tools.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive, patient, and calm under pressure.
  • Willing to learn, be cross-trained, and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to incoming chat inquiries with professionalism, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
  • Provide personalized support by identifying member needs and offering appropriate solutions or guidance.
  • Assist members with account questions, product information, online banking support, and general inquiries.
  • Manage multiple chat conversations simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Escalate or route complex issues to the appropriate department or individual when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members and be cross-trained to support additional communication channels as needed.
  • Uphold confidentiality, security standards, and compliance requirements always.
