Primary Purpose: Responsible for securing and sealing homes with plastic wrap to ensure protection during transportation. This role involves verifying materials, applying seals, installing protective components, and following safety and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
  • Scissor lift certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Physical ability to work under and around homes.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and fastening techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Verify correct type of plastic wrap installed on the home.
  • Seal belly paper underneath the frame using black belly tape.
  • Install gray foam seal around matewall headers and perimeters.
  • Secure excess plastic wrap using OSB boards and nails.
  • Nail lumber over crossover duct openings.
  • Install zipper doors for access points and cut openings as required.
  • Apply orange strapping to secure plastic wrap along matewalls.
  • Vertically and horizontally secure plastic wrap with OSB strips.
  • Inspect and tape any holes or tears in plastic wrap.
  • Operate scissor lift for upper-level tasks (must be certified).
  • Follow all EHS safety requirements and wear PPE at all times.
  • Dispose of leftover materials properly.
