About The Position

This role is for experienced chassis and trailer technicians who want to contribute positively to the industry by training the next generation. You will remain hands-on, relevant, and connected to the work, helping to shape safer, better-prepared technicians entering the industry. Instead of continuing with physical wear and tear, you will invest your experience in training. The position involves a Monday–Friday workweek with up to 50% regional travel between training locations. Lincoln Tech's WorkforceLinc Program partners with Container Maintenance Corporation (CMC) for this initiative.

Requirements

Professional experience working on chassis, trailers, or similar heavy-duty equipment
Strong working knowledge of air, electrical, suspension, and wheel end systems
Ability to explain why something is done—not just how
A safety first, professionalism forward mindset
Credibility, patience, and pride in the trades
Ability to obtain a TWIC card
Willingness to travel regionally (up to 50%, Monday–Friday)

Nice To Haves

Welding experience
Familiarity with IICL and/or FMCSA standards
Reefer unit or generator experience

Responsibilities

Teach hands-on chassis and trailer repair in a real shop/lab environment
Model what “good work” looks like—troubleshooting, maintenance, and safe practices
Instruct students on core systems including: Air brake systems, Trailer & chassis electrical (lighting, wiring, basic diagnostics), Suspension and wheel-end components
Coach students through real tasks and help them build confidence and discipline
Provide clear feedback and track skill development
Maintain a safe, organized, industry standard training environment
