About The Position

WaterMakers Inc. is seeking a high-performing Outside Sales Representative to drive new business growth through equipment sales, strategic partnerships, and market expansion. This role is responsible for building a strong pipeline, owning the full sales cycle, and establishing key relationships across the marine and industrial ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter with strong relationship-building skills, capable of identifying and closing high-value opportunities while expanding the company’s market presence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside sales or business development experience
  • Proven track record of generating new business and closing deals
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing full sales cycles in a B2B environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage a defined territory
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in marine, industrial equipment, or technical sales
  • Existing relationships with shipyards, brokers, or related partners
  • Experience selling high-value capital equipment

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development through proactive prospecting and pipeline generation
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead qualification through closing equipment sales
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with shipyards, brokers, and industry partners
  • Identify and pursue high-value opportunities to expand market presence
  • Develop and execute territory/account plans to consistently hit new revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting in CRM with weekly visibility
  • Negotiate and close deals while aligning with company pricing and margin goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff and successful project
