Get to Know Your Team: BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo’s preferred healthcare provider. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service and dignity. The Charge Nurse is a Registered Nurse who is accountable for coordination of all care for a specific patient population on an assigned shift, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and the policies and procedures of BSA. The Charge Nurse also has managerial responsibilities including, but not limited to, staffing, scheduling, employment development, and budget and performance improvement activities.

Requirements

  • High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current license as RN in the state of Texas
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years' of experience in a hospital setting as a staff nurse
