Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with 2 year's experience in acute care setting.
  • Proactively maintain current knowledge of facility policies and procedures, complete skills training, and maintain professional certifications.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring patient safety and care quality.
  • High energy level.
  • Honest
  • Exhibits leadership skills to positively influence patients and peers.
  • Exhibits values that reflect an understanding of the type of care needed by and given to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assign tasks and ensure that all team members are providing appropriate patient care.
  • Act as liaison between staff and management, facilitating communication and addressing any issues that arise during the shift.
  • Responsible for coordinating patient care, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring that treatment plans are followed.
  • Assist with direct patient care, especially during busy periods.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the unit, including patient admissions and discharge, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans for patients.
  • Responsible for leading the nursing department during the shift with respectful and helpful behavior towards nursing personnel.
