Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse program
Current LVN/LPN licensure in the State of Texas
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical/hospital setting
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a nursing leadership/management position
At least one (1) year LVN/LPN experience in a clinic environment
Must possess and maintain current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification

Nice To Haves

Five (5) years LVN/LPN experience
At least two (2) years LVN/LPN experience as a charge nurse or supervisor

Responsibilities

Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility for the human and fiscal resources available in order to provide quality, cost-effective patient centered care.
The Charge Nurse will possess and have the capabilities to perform all the major duties and critical tasks of a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
The Charge Nurse will demonstrate honesty, integrity, respectfulness, discretion, responsibility and dependability.
Supports the mission and vision of the facility.
