Provides spiritual support to patients, families and staff on assigned units through the John Muir Health system.
Requirements
Master's Degree Theological Studies (M.Div or equivalent) - Required
Coursework ACPE - Clinical Pastoral Education - Required within 90days of hire
Ordination in Recognized Faith Group and/or Faith Group Endorsement completed prior to or within 12 months of hire
Board Certification (BCC) with the Association of Professional Chaplains (Clinical Pastoral Education) or equivalent. Achieved Prior to or within 18 months of hire.

5 years Healthcare - Spiritual Care - Preferred
Healthcare - Chaplaincy - Preferred
Hospital ministry experience.

Consult with and cooperate with the healthcare team in the delivery of patient-centered care
Maintain a positive working relationship between the Spiritual care department and the interdisciplinary staff team
Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Director, Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Supervisor, CPE students, patients, families, staff, volunteers, and the general public
Adheres to the John Muir Health and departmental policies and procedures regarding sick time, attendance, rest and meal periods, dress code, safety, etc
