About The Position

The Chaplain is responsible for the delivery of spiritual care to patients, their loved ones, and, as appropriate, staff. S/he will have responsibility to ensure that religious and spiritual needs of patients and their family, and as appropriate staff are met in areas to which s/he is assigned. The Chaplain will report to the Manager of Spiritual Care.

Requirements

• Minimum of Master of Divinity or Theology from an accredited divinity school or similar degreed program
• minimum of 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education
• ordained or eligible for endorsement from recognized religious group
• eligible for certification by APC or ACPE or other certification organization for the field of chaplaincy

Responsibilities

• delivery of spiritual care to patients
• delivery of spiritual care to loved ones of patients
• delivery of spiritual care to staff
• ensure that religious and spiritual needs of patients and their family, and as appropriate staff are met in areas to which s/he is assigned
