About The Position

Provides spiritual support to patients, families and staff on assigned units through the John Muir Health system. The Chaplain Resident fulfills the ACPE accredited program requirements.

Requirements

• Master's Degree Theological Studies - Preferred
• College Level Coursework CPE - Clinical Pastoral Education - One (1) unit - Preferred
• 1 year Healthcare - Spiritual Care - Preferred and/or Healthcare - Chaplaincy - Preferred
• Experience in Hospital ministry - Preferred
• Ordination in Recognized Faith Group - Preferred and/or Faith Group Endorsement - Preferred
• Sensitivity to diverse religious and cultural practices and values.
• Maintains professional and personal integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
• Basic Pastoral Skills.
• Demonstrates empath y and compassion.
• Reflects theologically.
