About The Position

This is a per diem/on call position to cover primarily the Portland Metro area. The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of hospice patients and their families in their home setting. As a member of the Hospice team, the chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, polices, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the Hospice. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations or equivalent educ/experience
  • Coursework/Training: Four clinical pastoral education units.
  • National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire
