As part of our Americas Indirect Channel Sales Team, you will help drive growth through our channel partners and strengthen Itron’s presence across North America’s water, electric, and gas utilities. As a Channel Sales Manager for a defined territory, you will play a critical role in achieving sales growth for all Itron business lines sold through our indirect channel. Reporting to the Americas AVP of Channel Sales, you will manage relationships with distributor and agent partners, support opportunity management, and ensure successful execution of sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience selling complex solutions to utilities and municipalities.
  • Proven success managing distributor or reseller partner relationships.
  • Strategic sales experience with demonstrated ability to achieve results in a matrixed, international environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and strong analytical skills for forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment toward shared goals.
  • Strong decision-making skills, accountability, and adaptability in fast-paced, ambiguous situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hardware, software, and services sales in the utilities or energy sector.
  • Familiarity with indirect channel strategies and partner enablement programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and deliver customer-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth within the assigned territory through channel partners, meeting or exceeding quota targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with distributor and agent partners to promote Itron solutions.
  • Provide partners with technology and solution presentations, demonstrations, and enablement resources.
  • Manage forecasting, pipeline development, and opportunity tracking using Salesforce.
  • Support internal sales processes and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Prepare market and product data for staff meetings and presentations.
  • Assist partners with operational needs post-tender award.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for account management decisions and issue resolution.
