About The Position

Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Change Management Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across the entire enterprise with stakeholders on highly visible projects and initiatives that will make a lasting impact on our utility operations. In partnership with program / project managers and leadership, you will be the catalyst for long-term success and viability of technological and operational changes across the organization.

Requirements

  • Skill in change management principles, assessments, plans, and business process reengineering and readiness is key for this role
  • Knowledge of and experience implementing change management methodologies and tools (e.g., ATD, Prosci, Kotter and LaMarsh)
  • Relevant and progressively responsible experience in a workforce development or organizational change management capacity
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, influence, inspire action and decision-making, tactfully navigate challenging issues and ambiguous circumstances, and communicate ideas clearly and effectively
  • A valid, unrestricted driver's license is required for this role

  • Possession of a Change Management Certification is valued

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and applying change management processes and tools to develop strategies to support adoption of changes required by projects or initiatives
  • Assessing the change impact through conducting impact analyses, assessing change readiness, and identifying key stakeholders
  • Identifying all business process changes and partnering with SMEs to ensure proper tracking and documentation of business processes
  • Identifying key messages about programs, changes, and benefits to ensure stakeholders receive detailed communication throughout the project
  • Partnering with trainers to ensure each business process is trained and resource tools provided to stakeholders; providing input on training needs and supporting the design and delivery of training programs
  • Developing plans for how the business unit will support employees after changes are implemented (e.g., business process checklists, floorwalkers, internal help desk, etc.)
  • Overseeing vendor-led organizational change management (OCM)/operational readiness initiatives in alignment with Colorado Springs Utilities’ methodology
