Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: San Francisco, CA (HQ) Compensation: $400,000–$450,000 base salary + 25% target annual cash bonus + meaningful equity We are a growth-stage logistics and supply chain company operating at the intersection of technology, transportation, and operations. The business is scaling quickly and requires a CFO who is comfortable building while running. This is a senior leadership role based in our San Francisco headquarters, with a strong preference for Bay Area–based candidates. The Role Serve as a core partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, helping drive strategy, execution, and accountability Operate as a hands-on, highly engaged CFO in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment Own all aspects of finance, including FP&A, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as well as billing and collections Build and maintain financial models that support growth initiatives, pricing decisions, and capital allocation Ensure financial discipline while enabling speed and flexibility as the business scales Lead, develop, and hold accountable a high-performing finance organization through KPIs Set clear expectations, drive execution, and build the structure and controls needed for sustainable growth Partner closely with operations and commercial leadership to understand how the business truly runs Translate complex operational realities into clear, actionable financial insights Who You Are A proven CFO or senior finance leader with experience in growth-stage companies Comfortable operating in environments that run more like a startup than a mature enterprise A true leader who drives accountability, owns outcomes, and actively pushes the business forward Hands-on, pragmatic, and decisive — comfortable making decisions with imperfect data Energized by building teams, systems, and scalable financial foundations An active business partner, not a passive advisor or scorekeeper Resilient, reliable, and steady under pressure Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, drayage, or adjacent operational businesses (strongly preferred but not required) Experience working closely with operations in complex, real-world environments This Role Is Likely Not a Fit If You Have spent most of your career in large, highly structured enterprise environments Come exclusively from pure software companies without meaningful operational exposure Prefer advisory roles over direct ownership and accountability Benefits 401(k) with company contribution Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) Comprehensive Health, Medical, and Dental coverage Opportunities for professional development and career advancement This is an opportunity to step into a CFO role where finance is central to how the company grows and succeeds.
