About The Position

This key leadership position will oversee all Financial functions for the company. We are looking for a confident, hands-on financial leader with experience within the manufacturing industry, ideally consumer products. This position will improve the quality of our financial reporting and business analysis capabilities, ensure 3rd party audit compliance, enhance strategic thinking and lead the annual planning process. This leader will have direct accountability for the finance (including FP&A, accounting, capex, commodity management) and IT functions. In addition, this position will work closely and collaboratively as a leader within the HCC executive team and key partner closely with the Board of Directors. This position will report directly to the President & CEO- Hawaii Coffee Company.

Requirements

  • Prior success leading financial functions as a CFO or Senior Controller at a manufacturing organization, ideally consumer products.
  • Ability to understand and optimize manufacturing complexity, systems and reporting as well as supply chain management.
  • Experience successfully developing cost accounting systems and inventory management processes in manufacturing organizations.
  • Prior experience with process manufacturing transaction and cost accounting ERP systems required.
  • Prior success leading process improvement, cost reduction and internal control improvement teams.
  • Leadership experience to include managing, directing, and developing team members from a variety of backgrounds. Build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Takes ownership of all taskings; develops subordinates and peers to excel at their jobs
  • Strong leadership, organization and communication skills. Track record of successfully coaching and developing talent. A humble, hand-on leader.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with MBA and/or CPA, preferred
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and prior experience with standard cost and process manufacturing ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for accurate and timely reporting of all company financial statements and tax records
  • Leads, monitors and continuously improves the quality of production, warehouse operations, supply chain/procurement and reporting and analysis.
  • Facilitates coordination and communication between the operations, finance groups and other departments
  • Provide functional leaders with insightful and actionable business insights.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of strategic plans
  • Leads annual audit process and maintains GAAP compliant accounting system
  • Manage IT resources and investments. Explore potential for ERP system improvement
  • Design optimal financial structure and build current team capabilities. Work with cross functional support resources to define available support resources and reporting needs.
  • Oversee company’s coffee commodity purchasing and hedging programs.
  • Develops, maintains, and updates accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
