Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial operations across multi-state skilled nursing facilities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure clear, effective communication with finance teams, executive leadership, ownership, and HUD stakeholders.
  • Drive strategic financial planning to optimize performance, improve efficiency, and support sustainable growth.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, HUD financing requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Oversee cost reporting, reimbursement processes, and financial submissions related to skilled nursing operations.
  • Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and reporting processes to support scalability, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Partner with operations leadership to evaluate facility-level performance, improve margins, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support day-to-day operations and long-term strategic investments.
  • Lead annual budgeting and long-range financial planning aligned with operational and clinical priorities.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence, transaction execution, integration, and post-transaction optimization.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership and executive leadership, delivering data-driven insights on financial risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
  • Demonstrate integrity, discretion, and accountability in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Lead HUD-related financing activities, including refinancing, bridge-to-HUD transactions, rate locks, and lender coordination.
  • Maintain industry expertise through periodic travel and participation in key industry conferences and regulatory forums (e.g., NIC, CAHF/ECAP Summit).
  • Oversee reimbursement and refinance strategy, including AB 186 medical rate negotiations, managed care contracting, and payer collaboration.
