As a Certified Welding Inspector working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the semiconductor manufacturing sector. This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Queen Creek, Arizona.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with non-destructive testing methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Must have a certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) by the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications in NDT methods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Review and interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR).
  • Verify the qualification of welders and welding operators.
  • Monitor welding processes and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve welding-related issues.
  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes and product quality.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
