About The Position

GD Resources LLC is seeking a Certified Water Operator to serve as the primary and backup operator for ten (10) recreation water distribution systems managed by the PNF. The operator will ensure compliance with all Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, oversee seasonal operations, conduct routine sampling and inspections, and maintain accurate reporting. This role is critical to providing safe, reliable water for PNF-managed recreational facilities.

Requirements

  • Grade 1 Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) water distribution operator certification.
  • Ability to travel within 200 miles of assigned water systems.
  • Knowledge of ADEQ and EPA water regulations, sampling procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and lodging to service all assigned water systems.
  • Must provide all materials, tools, vehicles, and equipment necessary to perform water operator duties.

  • Experience managing multiple water distribution systems simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently and supervise water system operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the PNF Certified Water Operator for ten recreation water systems.
  • Maintain a minimum Grade 1 Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) water distribution operator certification.
  • Act as backup operator when the primary operator is unavailable.
  • Notify ADEQ of updates to operator certification and changes in operator status.
  • Approve seasonal startup and shutdown procedures for each water system.
  • Collect and test total coliform samples monthly; collect and test nitrate and nitrite samples annually.
  • Perform repeat sampling and Level 1 or Level 2 assessments for positive total coliform results.
  • Conduct certified operator monthly inspections during water sampling visits.
  • Maintain and update Microbiological Sample Site Plans (MSSPs) and sampling schedules.
  • Submit all required startup/shutdown forms, inspection reports, sampling results, and repeat sampling results to PNF and ADEQ as required.
  • Stay informed of and implement all ADEQ and EPA regulatory updates.
