About The Position

Weiser Memorial Hospital--rated as one of Idaho's best places to work--is looking to hire a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. THIS POSITION IS OFFERING A GENEROUS SIGN-ON BONUS AND RELOCATION ASSISTANCE The Certified Surgical Technologist assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures to provide optimal patient care in the operating room. This position provides surgical exposure, hemostasis, assists with suturing and stapling and other technical skills. They also participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred, training and experience may substitute for formal certification. Certification required within one (1) year of hire date
  • Requires a minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the operating room.
  • Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating room prior to surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.
  • Assist surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses.
  • Monitor patient vitals during surgery and alert surgical team to any changes.
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces before and after surgery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patient care is coordinated and effective.
