About The Position

Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist II functions as member of the operating room team to prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures and perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care with adherence to established procedural guidelines. This position demonstrates knowledge and skills required to provide care and/or service appropriate to the level of development of patients, with consideration of the needs of patients' families. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology or surgical technology military program
  • At least two years of work experience as a Certified Surgical Tech required
  • Completion of all CST III career ladder requirements is required
  • Incumbent must hold and maintain the Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, (formerly LCC-ST)
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
