About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Certified Surgical Technician for an exciting job in New York, NY.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Dental Assistant Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent CST experience required
• 3+ years of experience preferred (5 years a plus)
• Associate’s Degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Escort patients and prepare them for surgical procedures
• Review medical records to ensure documentation and lab results are complete
• Provide continuous four-handed chair-side assistance during procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, trays, and equipment
• Clean and disinfect all work areas prior to and after procedures
• Monitor patient vitals and assist with suctioning, instruments, and medications
• Take radiographs as requested
• Restock supplies and manage surgical inventory
• Properly dispose of medical waste and break down operatory post-procedure
• Respond effectively to emergencies as needed
