About The Position

The Certified Surgical Tech will function under the direct supervision to service patients in the Endoscopy Lab. and provide direct and indirect technical assistance to the physician; performs a variety of duties to assist the team in care of patients during GI lab procedures. Opportunity is for Part-time, 8 hour day shift with on-call and weekends

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Technology Program
• CPR Card required

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other members of the health care team to resolve patient care problems and enhance care delivery.
• Assists in the preparation for GI cases assuring that supplies, equipment, and instruments are available.
• Assists the team in the transport, transfer, and positioning of patients in the procedure rooms.
• Assists with the maintenance, care, and cleaning of equipment and work environment.
• Assists with the collection of specimens per policy
• Inspects scopes for damage and proper function.
• Complies with all regulatory requirements, standards, and guidelines
