About The Position

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you play a role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. You are responsible for meticulously cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and storing all reusable surgical instruments. Furthermore, you are instrumental in providing all necessary instruments for surgery and other hospital departments. Your dedication and attention to detail are vital in delivering the highest standard of care. Thank you for your invaluable contribution to our team.

Requirements

Certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD required or Certified Surgical Tech.

Experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing and storing procedures.
Understand principles of sterilization techniques and operates sterilization equipment.
Assemble all instruments, trays, and drill drays for operating rooms according to policies and procedures.
Perform equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance.
Perform crash cart restocking/exchange.
Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
