As a Certified CS/SPD Technician, you will play a key role in how our operating rooms care for our patients as a whole team relies on you to successfully set up the operating room. Certified CS/SPD Technicians receive ample support, training and education, including learning how to operate the latest, state-of-the-art processing equipment and using the newest sterilization tools and concepts. This is a respectful, fair and innovative team that creates a sense of belonging and engagement, and they are eager to welcome a Certified CS/SPD Technician to their team. Please note: while we do hire non-certified technicians, this particular opening does require you are currently certified as a sterile processing technician.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Sterile processing distribution certification (CRCST) by IAHCSMM/HSPA or CBSPD.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in central service/sterile processing areas.
  • Successful completion of a recognized training program with certification in central service/sterile processing.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments, equipment distribution and case care management.
  • Perform case pull functions.
  • Determine appropriate case carts to be built for specialty procedures.
  • Dispatch case carts to ensure they are available for surgical/clinical procedures.
  • Perform recordkeeping functions, such as processing, sterilization, quality assurance and more.
  • Order and stock supplies.
  • Maintain adequate levels and inventory of supplies.
