Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certification in either central service or surgery technology
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Completion of formal central service technician or surgery technologist program
Nice To Haves
- Previous central service, surgery, or patient care work experience is desirable
Responsibilities
- The Certified Sterile Processing Technician, under the direction of the unit charge nurse, collects, cleans, disinfects, inspects and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment.
- Maintains code carts, chest carts, urology carts.
- Cleans hospital wide equipment as needed.
