About The Position

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to join our Adult Day Services Program at the Alzheimer's Care Center in Gardiner on a per diem basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meaningful, relationship-centered work and values flexibility in their schedule. Located in a peaceful, wooded setting on a quiet, tree-lined avenue, the Alzheimer's Care Center provides a warm and supportive environment for individuals living with memory impairment. Attached to the residential home is our beautiful Adult Day Services Program, lovingly referred to as "the Club." The Club offers structured daytime care, social engagement, and activities designed to support independence, connection, and quality of life.

Requirements

For PSS applicants: Active Personal Support Specialist (PSS) certification
For CRMA applicants: Active Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) certification
A compassionate, patient-centered approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A desire to support individuals living with memory impairment

Responsibilities

Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
Ensures the social, emotional, and recreational well-being of residents by participating in 1:1 and group activity-focused care programs in cooperation with the Director of Activities.
Assists with keeping the patient's environment safe, clean, and orderly.
(If CRMA) Distributes medications to residents per physician orders and completes required documentation.
