About The Position

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an advanced practice registered nurse responsible for administering anesthesia and providing anesthesia-related care before, during, and after surgical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and obstetrical procedures. The CRNA works collaboratively with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and APRN license (state-specific)
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (as required)
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experienced CRNAs
  • Experience in hospital, surgical center, or specialty anesthesia preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia patient assessments and evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans
  • Administer general, regional, local, and monitored anesthesia care
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and physiological status throughout procedures
  • Manage airways, including intubation and ventilation
  • Respond to anesthesia-related emergencies and complications
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
  • Document anesthesia care accurately and timely in medical records
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Educate patients and families regarding anesthesia procedures and recovery
