About The Position

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods Southwoods Health has immediate openings for Full-Time and Part-Time CRNAs to join our premier surgical team in Boardman, Ohio. Under general direction, the CRNA will administer anesthesia and monitor patients across a variety of surgical and radiological procedures, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.

Requirements

• Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
• Certification: Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
• Life Support: Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Nice To Haves

• AHA PALS certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Assessment: Perform comprehensive pre-operative evaluations, including patient interviews and physical examinations, to select the most appropriate anesthetic plan.
• Anesthesia Administration: Safely administer anesthetics in strict accordance with delineated clinical privileges and hospital protocols.
• Intraoperative Management: Monitor and interpret patient data intraoperatively across all age groups and physical statuses; take proactive measures to protect vital organ functions.
• Technical Procedures: Perform essential non-surgical procedures, including IV insertion, intubation, airway management, and the maintenance of hemodynamic and electrolyte balance.
• Post-operative Care: Conduct thorough post-operative evaluations and monitor patient recovery.
• Safety & Compliance: Prepare required pharmaceuticals and maintain anesthesia equipment in peak operating condition. Ensure meticulous accounting of all controlled substances.
• Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
