Program Description: The Family Healing Center (FHC) is an innovative licensed inpatient 3.5 drug and alcohol facility dedicated to comprehensive addiction treatment and family healing. FHC provides a holistic approach to recovery, offering personalized care for individuals struggling with addiction while actively involving their families in the healing process. Through a combination of evidence-based therapies, trauma-informed care, and family support programs, FHC addresses the underlying causes of addiction, promoting emotional and behavioral well-being. Children live on-site with their parent during treatment, allowing families to remain connected and supported throughout the recovery journey. The program empowers individuals to rebuild their lives and strengthens family bonds, fostering a supportive environment for long-term recovery and resilience. Position Title and Overview: Certified Recovery Specialist/Certified Family Recovery Specialist Utilize personal experience with addiction, either individually or within the family, to provide peer support and foster trust and understanding with clients and families. Offer hands-on support in developing essential life skills, including parenting and adult daily living skills, to promote stability and independence. Lead and facilitate recovery-focused group sessions, providing education, peer support, and coping strategies to aid in the recovery process. Assist clients and families by obtaining supplies, coordinating transportation to appointments, and ensuring apartments are prepared for new arrivals. Advocate for clients’ needs, help navigate community resources and promote positive reintegration into the community. Location and Travel Requirements: This position is primarily located in Mt. Oliver. All positions are also expected to come to training, meetings, and other events at Main Campus in McKeesport, as scheduled. The travel required for this position is minimal.

Requirements

  • Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances required.
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Valid PA driver’s license, vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance.
  • Requires working varied hours, including evenings, some weekends and holidays.
