Utilize personal experience with addiction, either individually or within the family, to provide peer support and foster trust and understanding with clients and families. Offer hands-on support in developing essential life skills, including parenting and adult daily living skills, to promote stability and independence. Lead and facilitate recovery-focused group sessions, providing education, peer support, and coping strategies to aid in the recovery process. Assist clients and families by obtaining supplies, coordinating transportation to appointments, and ensuring apartments are prepared for new arrivals. Advocate for clients’ needs, help navigate community resources and promote positive reintegration into the community.
