About The Position

Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for assisting the pharmacist in provision of pharmaceutical services. Technicians are responsible for the following processes: preparation of unit dose, extemporaneous, and parenteral dosage forms and corresponding documentation; timely delivery of medications to patient care areas; timely removal and crediting of discontinued medications from patient care areas; preparing controlled substance requests and maintaining records according state and federal regulations; maintenance of floor-stock inventory and billing component; assurance of adequate inventory; participation in nursing station inspections; . Technicians maintain an orderly work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • graduate of an accredited technician training program or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospital experience
  • PTCB certification preferred
