As a Certified Peer Specialist , you will be an active member of the integrated care team. The peer specialist uses their own unique experiences to teach and support consumers in building skills and resources to facilitate individual recovery. You will… Serve as an active member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Effectively assess consumers’ skills, strengths and needs that will support ongoing mental health recovery. Develop and/or have input into the professional development of a treatment plan that will promote recovery. Assist consumers in identifying Personal Medicine, writing Power Statements, and completion of the Common Ground Health Report. Assist consumers in overcoming barriers to care. Help identify resources and educate consumers about community social service supports that might be available.

Requirements

  • A PCB Certified Peer Specialist certification
  • To attest mental health diagnosis and stage of recovery
  • If you have a dual substance use disorder, you will need to be at least 2 years in recovery.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation, which are 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Friday with Saturday hours, when applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Be Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
  • Have Knowledge of or experience with trauma-informed approaches preferred.

Responsibilities
