Banner Boswell Medical Center is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Cardiovascular ICU Unit and may float to different units throughout the hospital, ideally PCA experience. The unit has 14 beds and cares for post-surgical heart and vascular patients. We manage cardiac devices like Impella, Balloon pump, chest tubes, external/internal pacemakers, and SLED. This unit has received a 3-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgery for the 4th time which is the highest achievable rating for a cardiovascular surgery center of excellence. Part-Time Night Shift Available (PT 2-12 hour shift) Shift Hours can be from (Nights) 7pm-7:30am. You can utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. There are no set days you can be scheduled each week You can know your shift a month in advance generally. Rotating Weekend Rotations are required in this role. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
