Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current, valid COTA License or certification in the state of California.
  • A passion for geriatric care and a desire to grow within a supportive, professional team.

Responsibilities

  • Functional Rehabilitation: Execute individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed OT, focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and functional mobility.
  • Therapeutic Intervention: Provide skilled treatments using adaptive equipment and specialized techniques to help residents reach their maximum potential.
  • Progress Tracking: Closely monitor resident performance and provide accurate, timely documentation to the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team.
  • Collaborative Care: Work alongside Physical and Speech Therapists to deliver a holistic, coordinated approach to patient recovery.
  • Education: Instruct residents, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and safety techniques to ensure a successful discharge.
