About The Position

Carroll Hospital in Westminster, Maryland, is part of the NovaCare/LifeBridge Health family. We are seeking a full-time certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) to join our large multidisciplinary team. This is a 40-hour day shift position that includes a weekend rotation of 1-2 Saturdays per month, per clinician. New graduate COTAs are welcome to apply. Acute care experience is preferred. We have an on-site mentorship available at this 153-bed inpatient hospital. Requirements

  • Graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
  • State COTA license (or license eligible)
  • CPR certification
  • Valid state driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Detail-Oriented: Observe, note and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
  • Education: Teach patients new ways of approaching tasks and how to break down activities into achievable components.
  • High Standard of Care: Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/procedures and applicable regulations and corporate policies
  • Personalized Treatment: Under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist, optimize patients’ functional abilities and skills.
