Requirements

Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Louisiana or compact state.
1+ year of experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting preferred.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Compassionate, patient-focused mindset with a commitment to improving functional independence.

Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on occupational therapy services to patients with diverse rehabilitative and functional needs.
Collaborate with occupational therapists, physicians, and the care team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
Assist in providing therapeutic interventions, including exercises, adaptive equipment training, and activities to improve daily living skills.
Monitor patient progress, make adjustments to interventions as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions.
Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home modifications, and techniques to enhance independence and safety.
Ensure care is delivered in accordance with facility policies, therapy guidelines, and regulatory standards.
