Responsibilities

Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
Deliver occupational therapy services as planned, delegated and directed by Occupational Therapist.
Document services provided.
Report the condition of the patient/resident/client to the Occupational Therapist.
Make decisions based on individual educational preparation and experience as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Provide care to assure compliance with Medicare and other governmental programs such as the medical necessity of care.
Comply with ethical standards of practice.
Assist with orientation and in-service training for certified department staff members. Participate in guidance and educational programs.
Train personnel, utilizing on-the-job training for nursing and other hospital staff, as well as departmental staff.
Other job related duties as assigned.
