About The Position

Plans and administers occupational therapy, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist, for students with disabilities who have been identified through a case conference committee decision to require occupational therapy These statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of an OTA.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational therapist Assistant program with an associates, bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree
• NBCOT certification
• current Indiana COTA license
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Assess student's strength, developmental levels, motor development, sensory perception, range of motion, self-care and social skills.
• Records and collects data to develop or revise treatment plans.
• Evaluates, designs, or adapts materials, equipment, or the educational environment to meet student's needs.
• Consults with parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, and other related services personnel.
• Completes documentation as required.
• Submits Medicaid reimbursement billing.
• Other duties as assigned.
