Provides occupational therapy as a component in the treatment of children with emotional and behavioral disorders . Works directly with educational staff to determine occupational therapy needs of children. External contacts include parents, school districts, and universities. Education: Bacehlor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited educational program Licensure/Certification: Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board and Licensure by the State of Missouri Division of Professional Registration Qualifications: • Knowledge of child development, neurodevelopment, and psychopathology • Requires analytical ability necessary to handle moderately complex administrative details such as preparing nonrecurring reports. • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload with attention to detail. • Must be able to work productively and respectfully with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
